It's how we think, act, speak, and love one another. It's the way we raise our families, love our community, and seek the good of others before ourselves. Here's what makes Bethel unique.
Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe Jesus is the promised Messiah Who came to rescue us from our sins and reconcile us to God. Jesus was God in the flesh Who lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us to live for Him. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. They are all co-equal in their essence, yet distinct in their Persons.
We believe that the Bible is God’s inerrant Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. In it, we have everything we need for life and godliness.
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We are born in sin because of our first father Adam, and through his fall, we all inherited the curse of death and eternal separation from God.
Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, then died on the cross on our behalf as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. In order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus as Lord, and commit to becoming His disciple.
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together as we are instructed in the Scriptures. The church is our spiritual family and we are to help each other live in obedience to Christ. We do this by learning from His word, singing praises to Him, and praying with and for each other, bearing one another's burdens.
